Send in the Frogs
Now we come fully into October, when the autumn breeze skims through the changing leaves, and the sun’s cold sheen casts the hills of the Valley in a light we’ll miss come winter. You’d be nuts, in other words, to miss taking a few long walks. The Royal Frog Ballet is here to help. The Western Mass art collective is back with its annual Surrealist Cabaret, and this year, for the first time, it’s at the scenic Park Hill Orchard in Easthampton. “At autumnal sunset,” the company explains, audiences will encounter “short performances, installation pieces, and roving characters created by artists working collaboratively in various media, exploring and celebrating themes of season and place. Magical, luminescent, and a dash of spooky.”
The Surrealist Cabaret 2016: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday at 5.p.m. All ages. $18 general admission; $9 for ages 18 and under. Park Hill Orchard, 82 Park Hill Road, Easthampton. (802) 461-5822, theroyalfrogballet.com.
