SUSTO Keeps The Fans Smiling In Columbia [Review/Gallery]

Charleston band SUSTO, took the stage at a packed New Brookland Tavern in Columbia, SC last night, the second to last stop on their tour promoting the new album, & I’m Fine Today. The band will be out on the road touring with The Lumineers throughout March, but got settled in for a great night of music to the fans in Columbia.

Justin Peter Kinkle-Shuster started the night off, serenading the audience with lovely songs backed solely with his acoustic guitar. His short and mellow set was the perfect vibe to get the evening started.

Fans were elated when SUSTO finally started their set. You could literally feel the temperature rise as they walked on stage. Fans were in a great mood, dancing and singing along to every song. They played crowd favorites, “Waves” and “Gay in the South” and a rocking version of “Wasted Minds.”

Lead singer Justin Osborne, a native of Columbia, SC grew up coming to shows at NBT and played numerous gigs there while he was in Sequoyah Prep School. Osborne claimed the venue was his “favorite fucking place to play” — and it definitely showed. It was a great night of music from this quickly-rising band!
