Los Angeles rocker, Dorothy will put the New Years resolutions aside, and kick off 2018 on the road with her upcoming “Freedom Tour.” The unique 35-city tour across the United States, will give a huge opportunity to one lucky local artist in each city along the tour, as Dorothy is looking for a local favorite artist, of any genre, to open each show for her along the tour.
The Freedom Tour will set sail on Jan. 3, at The Rave/Eagles Club, in Milwaukee, WI, and wrap up on March 10, at the White Oak Music Hall in Houston, TX. The Bowery Ballroom in NYC on Jan 10, will host the only NY stop on the tour. General admission tickets cost $17.50, and a VIP/ticket combo cost $67.50. Showtime 9:00pm.
In a recent Blabbermouth article, Dorothy frontwoman, Dorothy Martin, commented on her upcoming tour:
“Touring sweeps you from city to city. Sometimes you don’t even get a chance to venture past a couple blocks of the venue you’re performing in. On this tour, we are doing something different. Instead of letting a band with marketing dollars and guaranteed ticket sales open for me, I thought it would be cool to let the local favorite band in each city have a shot. This tour is about taking the time to truly connect with the different communities to get a taste of what the local music scene is like. We want to be inspired. This could be a disaster or it could be complete magic. Who knows? WHO CARES?! It’s rock n’ roll.”
