171

It’s been over two years since David Bowie left us very shortly after releasing his final masterpiece Blackstar. His legacy continues to live on and a new tour with an all-star lineup kicks off this weekend on February 10.

Celebrating David Bowie is a 27-date tour across North America and features prominent players from Bowie’s bands including Mike Garson (keys), Earl Slick (guitar), Gerry Leonard (guitar), and Carmine Rojas (bass).

A number of special guests will be joining the Celebrating David Bowie tour at various stops. As far as New York State stops go, Corey Glover (Living Colour founder) will appear at the NYC and Albany shows; sax legend David Liebman, Joe Sumner (Sting’s son), and Mark Plati (producer/Bowie guitarist) will all appear in NYC.

Additional guests for the tour will be announced in the future and updates will be posted on CelebratingDavidBowie.com.

The tour stops at Irving Plaza in NYC on Feb. 12 and at The Egg in Albany on Feb 13. For a full list of tour dates including some other east coast shows visit the tour’s website.
