Record Store Day Offers Several NY Artist Releases

On April 21, record stores across the nation will open their doors and celebrate what is becoming an annual holiday for music lovers, Record Store Day.

Fans can get their hands special limited pressings from a wide variety of music genres and from several different eras of music, so there is something for everyone.

For the past 10 years, music enthusiasts wait in anticipation for this day to purchase Record Store Day exclusive albums, firsts, collections, and regional releases at  local music stores on cassette, LP, 7″ vinyl, 10″ vinyl, and 12″ vinyl. You can enter your zip code on RSD’s website for a list of participating stores.

Artists releasing music on RSD include Prince, Johnny Cash, Bruce Springsteen, Eric Clapton, Diplo, Def Leppard, Disturbed, Phish, Linkin Park, Elvis Presley, U2, Madonna, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Dr, Dre, David Bowie, Stone Sour, Motorhead, AC/DC, Insane Clown Posse, Niall Horan, Eric Church, Marvin Gaye, Chuck Berry, Gov’t Mule, and The Doors. Several New York artists will offer releases, including Aaliyah, Blue Oyster Cult, The Notorious B.I.G., Ramones, Nas, Bleachers, The Dap-Kings, Good Rats, Living Colour, Mickey Hart, Mastodon, Patty Smyth, John Williams, Lou Reed, Wolfman Jack, Wu-Tang Clan, Rob Base & DJ E-Z Roc and comedian Adam Sandler.
