Former Toto Frontman Bobby Kimball Announces 2018 Australian Tour

Bobby Kimball, the longtime Toto frontman who lent his vocals to that iconic ‘Africa’ chorus, has announced a 2018 Australian tour.

Arriving just months after Toto revealed plans to tour Australia in 2019, Kimball’s tour announcement comes ahead of his first trip to Australia in a decade.

Performing hits from Toto’s discography (and his 2017 solo album We’re Not In Kansas Anymore) with a full backing band, Kimball will perform in Melbourne, Penrith, Sydney, Newcastle, the Gold Coast, Wollongong and Adelaide this September.

“It’s been a busy 2018 but I’m so looking forward to coming back out to Australia in September. I played out there with Toto twice and each time was a real fun experience for me,” says Kimball.

“The Aussie fans are so incredible. I can’t believe it’s been more than 10 years since I was last there.”

Kimball was Toto’s original lead vocalist, and appeared on their first four studio albums, lending his voice to songs like ‘Africa’, ‘Rosanna’, ‘Hold The Line’ and ‘I’ll Supply The Love’. He performed with the band from 1976 to 1984, and again from 1997 until they disbanded in 2008.

Supporting Kimball’s 2018 Australian tour will be Mark Gable from Aussie rockers The Choirboys.
