Speaking with Music Feeds contributor Riley Fitzgerald, Shinoda said he definitely wants to tour Australia again.
“I love, love, love Australia, and I would be thrilled to visit and play some shows,” Shinoda said.
“The main thing for me is just balancing out where the demand is. I’m trying to get to a lot of places.
“It’s really up to, as we get into album release week and beyond… if the fans want me to come play, then all they have to do is let that be known. I’d love to come down.”
Linkin Park were reportedly in talks to tour Australia in 2018, prior to the shock death of their frontman Chester Bennington in July 2017. The band last toured Australia in 2013, when they performed at Soundwave Festival and at two festival sideshows.
Shinoda is yet to tour Australia as a solo musician, but is set to perform in Thailand, South Korea, Japan and Singapore later this year.
Post Traumatic is scheduled to be released this Friday, 15th June. Watch the music video for album cut ‘Ghosts’ below, and stay tuned for Music Feeds‘ full interview with Mike Shinoda, coming soon.
