Japan’s iconic Fuji Rock festival happened over the weekend, and Vampire Weekend brought out special guest, HAIM frontwoman Danielle Haim, to perform a cover of Thin Lizzy’s ‘The Boys Are Back In Town’.
Vampire Weekend, who just played a one-off, mammoth set at Splendour In The Grass, brought out Danielle to help them perform the final two songs of their Fuji Rock set, the first of which was a surprise cover of Thin Lizzy’s ‘The Boys Are Back In Town’. They closed their set with Modern Vampires Of The City track ‘Obvious Bicycle.’
Besides doing a run of festival shows, Vampire Weekend are, apparently, on the cusp of releasing their fourth studio album, having teased a new track in California earlier this year.
Haim last toured Australia in 2017, also for Splendour, off the back of their second album Something To Tell You.
