On October 5, Doyle Bramhall II will issue his latest solo album, Shades, through Provogue/Mascot Label Group. The guitarist released the single “Searching For Love,” featuring Norah Jones.

Bassist Chris Bruce, multi-instrumentalist and string arranger Adam Minkoff and drummers Carla Azar and Abe Rounds made up the core band supporting Bramhall on the 12-track Shades. In addition to Jones, other special guests appearing on the album include Bramhall’s longtime collaborator, legendary guitarist Eric Clapton, as well as Tedeschi Trucks Band and Greyhounds.

“One of the great moments for me while making this album was writing and recording the song ‘Searching For Love’ with Norah Jones,” Bramhall stated. “She is such a master musician, songwriter and singer. Even though she nailed the song when we recorded it, I wanted to do more takes just to hear her play more. She always plays the most beautiful and unexpected things. I wanted my own quintessential love song.”
