John Mayer To Perform Acoustic Set At Benefit Concert

218

Each year Paul Reed Smith Guitars hosts the One Night One Show One Cause benefit concert with proceeds going towards Johns Hopkins Kimmel Cancer Center. The 2018 benefit will feature an acoustic set by John Mayer.

One Night One Show One Cause ’18 will take place at The Modell Lyric in Baltimore on October 7. Tickets went on sale via Ticketmaster and immediately sold out. PRS Guitars has supported the Living with Cancer Resource Program at the Johns Hopkins Kimmel Cancer Center since 2000. This year’s benefit is presented by Knott Realty Group.

As reported, Mayer performed and sat for an interview on last night’s episode of ABC talk show Jimmy Kimmel Live. John played a number of songs in addition to the song that aired, “New Light.” Up first for the Connecticut native and his solo band after “New Light” was “Love On The Weekend.” Next, the Dead & Company guitarist fit a cover of the Grateful Dead’s “Fire On The Mountain” within his own “Queen Of California.” The short set came to a close with old favorites “Slow Dancing In A Burning Room” and “Dear Marie.”
