Tomorrow, the Prince estate will release a posthumous album entitled Piano & A Microphone 1983 featuring the previously shared single “Mary Don’t You Weep.” The estate shared a new video accompanying the recording of the traditional spiritual.

The video was directed by Salomon Ligthelm and filmed in locations around New York City. A press release states the, “video pays tribute to the nearly 1,300 children that die and 5,790 that are treated for gunshot wounds each year in the United States alone. It puts the effect of what happens when a mother and a community lose a son under the microscope, exploring the agony, the resolve and ultimately hope for change.” The video is a companion to the 2015 single “Baltimore” that Prince wrote and recorded following the death of Freddie Gray.
