Three-fourths of the Smashing Pumpkins‘ original lineup gathered earlier this year in Malibu with producer Rick Rubin to record new material. Host Lauren Laverne premiered audio of one of the songs from the sessions on her BBC Radio show.
“Silvery Sometime (Ghosts)” will be featured on a new Smashing Pumpkins album due in mid-November according to Laverne. Head here to stream the song at the 1:52:40 mark. Billy Corgan, James Iha, Jimmy Chamberlin and Jeff Schroeder previously released the single “Solara.”
Smashing Pumpkins recently completed a North American Tour and will soon play in Europe. The band also has a show in their hometown of Chicago on the books.
