On November 2, Jack Black and Kyle Gass will issue a new Tenacious D album entitled Post-Apocalypto through Columbia Records. The comedy-rock duo shared the album’s first single “HOPE” and posted the first episode of an original, six-part animated video series.
The Post-Apocalypto video series is made up of Black’s hand-drawn animation while he and Gass both supply the voicing. A new video will be put out each Friday leading up to the album’s release. John Spiker produced Post-Apocalypto, which features longtime Tenacious D collaborator Dave Grohl on drums. Watch Post-Apocalypto Chapter 1 (Hope) and stream “HOPE” below:
