The White Light Foundation is a non-profit organization inspired by the music of Vermont’s Twiddle, with the intention of spreading love, healing, and kindness. On Wednesday, September 12th, Twiddle and the White Light Foundation donated $10,000 dollars to the University of Vermont’s Children’s Hospital.

The sizable donation was raised during Twiddle’s annual Tumble Down Festival, which is held each year at Burlington, Vermont’s Waterfront Park. At the festival, the White Light Foundation partnered with Martin Guitars and artists from the Twiddle community, organizing raffles to raise money in addition to hosting a charity disc golf event. As an added bonus, Fiddlehead Brewing Company released a Twiddle-inspired pale ale titled “Relax and Dream” and then matched $2,500 of White Light Foundation’s fundraising, bringing the total gift to $10,000.

Both guitarist Mihali Savoulidis and drummer Brook Jordan were on hand to present the donation, in addition to representatives from the University of Vermont’s Children’s Hospital—including Chief of Pediatrics Dr. Lewis First—as well White Light Foundation and Fiddlehead Brewing Company. Following the donation, Savoulidis and Jordan stuck around to perform for the children’s hospital’s patients and staff.

Noted Steve Perlah, President and CEO of the White Light Foundation, “it was an incredible privilege to represent Twiddle fans and our partners today in making this donation to the UVM Children’s Hospital.”
