The Beatles’ co-founders John Lennon and George Harrison appear together in a newly surfaced video. The previously unseen footage features the pair recording “How Do You Sleep” for Lennon’s 1971 solo album Imagine.

Lennon plays guitar in the footage from Ascot Sound Studios, the recording facility he built with his wife Yoko Ono in Berkshire County, England. Harrison can be seen playing slide guitar alongside keyboardist Nicky Hopkins, drummer Alan White and bassist Klaus Voormann. According to NPR, Lennon described Harrison’s playing on “How Do You Sleep? (Takes 5 & 6, Raw Studio Mix Out-take)” as George’s “best guitar solo to date on this cut, as good as anything I’ve heard from anyone, anywhere.”
