Musical collective Brassroots District have an unusual concept. The Los Angeles-based ensemble asks listeners and concertgoers to suspend reality and take a trip to 1973, where the group is essentially “trapped.” Led by frontman Copper Jones and frontwoman Ursa Major, Brassroots District issued a new single entitled “Repetition.”
Brassroots District recently made their live debut opening for Lawrence at Teragram Ballroom. Members of the group dressed the part and ended the set by exiting the back door of the venue in a New Orleans-style second line.
