Bustle In Your Hedgerow Returns To Brooklyn Bowl

129

Led Zeppelin tribute act Bustle In Your Hedgerow played their first full show of 2018 on Saturday night at Brooklyn Bowl in New York City. The quartet features drummer Joe Russo, guitarist Scott Metzger, bassist Dave Dreiwitz and keyboardist Marco Benevento performing a mix of Led Zeppelin favorites and deep cuts.

The roots of Bustle In Your Hedgerow were laid during a concert cruise held in honor of Rocks Off founder Jake Szufnarowski’s 30th birthday on August 29, 2003. Russo and Benevento played a set of Zeppelin covers with Scott Metzger that night and repeated the feat a few more times before bringing Dreiwitz into the fold just over a year later. Saturday’s show began with “The Song Remains The Same” just as the Zeppelin tribute set on August 29, 2003 did. Bustle performed such beloved gems as “Custard Pie,” “Heartbreaker” and “Thank You” as part of the first set on Saturday along with “For Your Life” off Presence and “Wearing & Tearing” and “We’re Gonna Groove” from 1982’s Coda.

Russo, Dreiwitz, Metzger and Benevento kicked off Saturday’s second set with a bombastic “The Wanton Song” and then powered through a run of “Dazed & Confused,” “Ramble On” and “Kashmir.” The set concluded with a sequence featuring “What Is & What Should Never Be,” “Since I’ve Been Loving You” and “No Quarter” ahead of a “The Ocean” encore.
