Charles Bradley ‘Luv Jones’ Video Shows New Mural

As reported, Dunham/Daptone Records will issue a posthumous album from late soul singer Charles Bradley next month. Black Velvet will be released on what would have been The Screaming Eagle Of Soul’s 70th birthday, November 9. Today, a video for Charles Bradley’s “Luv Jones,” one of 10 tracks on Black Velvet, has been shared.

Daptone launched the microsite CBforever featuring murals painted by Chicago-based artist Joe Miller to celebrate Bradley’s life. The large-scale, multi-city public art project dedicated to Bradley saw its first piece go up recently in Chicago, with other U.S. cities to follow. Additional murals will also be painted by local artists in select cities around the U.K. and the E.U. A time-lapse video of the first mural going up has been set to the Black Velvet track “Luv Jones”:
