John Prine covered Stevie Wonder’s “I Just Called To Say I Love You” during a live session recorded for the Spotify Singles series. The 71-year-old singer-songwriter also performed a song from his recently issued album, The Tree Of Forgiveness during his session in Nashville.
In addition to covering Wonder’s 1984 hit, Prine performed his original “I Have Met My Love Today.” Recorded at the historic RCA Studio A — where Prine made The Tree Of Forgivenes with producer Dave Cobb — and accompanied by The Secret Sisters, stream Prine’s Spotify Singles session below:
