Medeski Martin & Wood will celebrate the release of their recent collaboration with Alarm Will Sound with a concert at Brooklyn Steel in New York City on January 9. The two acts teamed up to issue Omnisphere earlier this year, an album recorded live in 2015.
Omnisphere resulted from the group’s February 2015 collaboration at The Newman Center in Denver in February 2015. The album features original music from both groups, as well as new Alarm Will Sound arrangements of two songs off the 2004 MMW album End Of The World Party (Just In Case). Tickets for the one-off celebration will go on sale to the general public this Friday, November 2 at 12 p.m. ET via AXS. Medeski will soon hit the road with John Medeski’s Mad Skillet in honor of the group’s self-titled debut album, which comes out this Friday.
