moe. brought their trifecta of shows at Chicago’s Thalia Hall to a close on Saturday. As expected the five-piece act finally finished off the “Buster” they started on Thursday and continued on Friday as they delivered the last portions of the classic in both the first and second set.

After performing a short VIP set earlier in the evening, moe. officially got their night going with a seamless run on “Not Coming Down” > “Wormwood” > “Stranger Than Fiction.” Next, the band dug in on “Plane Crash” as they dropped another bit of “Buster” in its midst. The fan-favorite still remained unfinished as they segued back into “Plane Crash.” A run of of “The Road” > “McBain” came ahead of a pair of moe. classics, “Hi & Lo” and “Moth” which brought their fifth set in the Windy City to a close.

An exploratory take on “32 Things,” helped highlight the second frame. It was the final run of the night that really stood out as the quartet dedicated nearly an hour to a trio of old-school tunes. First up was “So Long.” The Buffalo-originated band then finally finished off “Buster” as they served up the last portion of the song that was spread across all three shows. A 25-minute version of jam-vehicle “meat.” brought the must-hear stretch and stanza to an end. Jim Loughlin-penned rarity “Farmer Ben” kicked off the encore. The band then offered up a portion of “Tubing Down The River Styx,” which was played earlier in the evening, with “The Pit” tapped as the Chicago closer.
