Pearl Jam guitarist Mike McCready sat-in with Brandi Carlile at this weekend’s ACL Music Festival in Austin, Texas. The collaboration featured a cover of Led Zeppelin’s version of “Babe I’m Gonna Leave You” which transitioned into “The Star-Spangled Banner.”
Carlile was among the performers on Saturday’s schedule at Zilker Park. After leading a rendition of “Tired” while playing piano, Carlile welcomed McCready to the stage before assuming frontwoman duties on the Zeppelin rocker. Carlile strapped on her guitar as she and McCready were left on stage to play the national anthem.
