Phosphorescent served as the musical guest on Tuesday’s episode of CBS late-night talk show The Late Late Show With James Corden. Matthew Houck led a seven-piece version of his band through the lead single from their new album C’est La Vie, which is due out this Friday via Dead Oceans.
Houck & Co. delivered a breezy rendition of the Paul Simon-esque “New Birth In New England” at Studio 56 in Los Angeles. Phosphorescent recorded the follow-up to 2013’s Muchacho at Houck’s Spirit Sounds Studio facility in Nashville. The band soon heads off on a European Tour before embarking on a U.S. leg in November.
