Roger Waters Presents Live Debut Of Pink Floyd Song In Brazil

122

Pink Floyd bassist Roger Waters brought the South American leg of his Us + Them World Tour to Salvador, Brazil on Wednesday night for a performance at Itaipava Arena Fonte Nova. Waters had a big surprise in store to kick off the encore, as he led his band through the live debut of Pink Floyd’s “Two Suns In The Sunset.”

Roger Waters has kept to a similar script for most of the 130+ performances since the tour started in May of 2017. Last night was no different with the 75-year-old musician and his talented band presenting a mix of Pink Floyd classics and solo gems in Brazil. As noted, the change to the usual setlist came at the start of the encore with “Two Suns In The Sunset.” Pink Floyd recorded the song for 1983’s The Final Cut, which was Roger’s last album before departing the band. Floyd never performed “Two Suns In The Sunset” live and neither had Waters as a solo performer until Wednesday night.
