It might not be the new Tame Impala music we expected, but we’ll take it. Rapper Theophilus London has teamed up with Kevin Parker for new track ‘Only You’.
The track is actually a revamp of Steve Monite’s 1984 single of the same name, and finally marks the release of a long-teased collaboration between the two – titled ‘Theo Impala’. Nice.
The song comes after their recent show in Los Angeles earlier this month, where they debuted more new music.
The first sign of collaboration between these two was back in 2016, when London performed a song titled ‘Whiplash’, which was produced by Parker.
We haven’t had new music from Tame Impala since the collector’s edition of 2015’s Currents was released around this time last year, and this just gets us so much more keen for that follow-up that is just around the corner.
