Brooklyn-based instrumental rock-fusion quartet TAUK has shared their New Year’s plans, which will see the band headline Richmond, VA’s The Broadberry on Sunday, December 30th, leading into New Year’s Eve proper at Baltimore Soundstage in Baltimore, MD. The group will be joined by The Fritz on both dates. Ahead of their own New Year’s Eve headlining shows, TAUK will support The Motet at Albany, NY’s Lucky Strike Social on Friday, Dec. 28th.
TAUK also has a performance on Dec. 29th, with a confirmed venue yet to be announced. The group recently released their latest album Shapeshifter II: Outbreak on September 28th, which incorporates elements of the sci-fi narrative, extraterrestrial life, and artificial intelligence. The album was produced by longtime TAUK cohort and Grammy-winning producer/mixer/engineer Robert Carranza (The Mars Volta, Ozomatli, Marilyn Manson, Taj Mahal). Drummer Isaac Teel describes Shapeshifter II: Outbreak as “the Jumanji house meets Addams Family meets Amityville Horror.”

We get to kick things off with The Motet in Albany which is sure to get extra funky. Our homies The Fritz will be joining us on the 30th in Richmond as well as New Years in Baltimore which is gonna make for some killer nights of music to bring in 2019.”
Tickets for the New Year’s run go on-sale this Friday, October 19th at 10 a.m. ET. Check out TAUK’s website for more details.
