New Orleans rockers The Revivalists announced a hometown New Year’s Eve show at Mardi Gras World featuring support from Tank and the Bangas. The band also unveiled the latest single from the forthcoming Take Good Care, the anti-gun violence anthem “Shoot You Down” via pro-shot video from September’s Red Rocks show.
A pre-sale for tickets to The Revivalists’ New Year’s show will take place on Thursday, November 1 at 10 a.m. CT using “RVENYE” as the password. Tickets go on sale to the general public this Friday, November 2 at 10 a.m. CT. As for “Shoot You Down,” frontman David Shaw penned the song in response to the many mass shootings that have taken place in the U.S. over the past few years. The band issued the song on 7″ vinyl today at independent record stores with the aim of raising awareness and money for the anti-gun violence movement. Head here to read Shaw’s thoughts on the tune.
