Coming off the back of his debut Aussie tour, 18-year-old French producer Mehdi Benjelloun (AKA Petit Biscuit) has taken on his first triple j Like A Version performance, covering Phoenix‘s ‘1901’ and showing off his ability to handle a keyboard, guitar and vocals all on his own.
The rendition kept all the good stuff from the original, but Biscuit gave it some more flare with his alternative beats and unique vocals (it was supposedly his first time singing live as well!).
He also took in fellow 18-year-old Bene (just to make the rest of us feel super untalented) to perform vocals on his original track ‘Problems’, from his debut album Presence. The track originally features Lido but Bene’s smooth vocals gave the track a totally different sound.
