Ween & The Shit Creek Boys Conclude Ryman Auditorium Run

133

Last night, Ween ended a two-night stand at the iconic Ryman Auditorium in Nashville that marked the band’s debut at the venue. Ween was joined for both last night’s show and Tuesday’s concert by veteran Nashville musicians The Shit Creek Boys: pianist Bobby Ogdin, fiddler Hank Singer, guitarist Danny Parks and pedal steel wiz Russ Hicks.

Both concerts came in celebration of Ween’s 1996 album 12 Golden Country Greats, which was recorded in Nashville. Eight songs from the LP were played over the course of last night’s show. The band and their guests stuck to the same batch of songs on Wednesday as they did on Tuesday with a few exceptions. Ween and The Shit Creek Boys opened with “I’m Holding You,” the only song from 12 Golden Country Greats they didn’t perform on Tuesday. “Learnin’ To Love,” “Tried & True” and “Buenas Tardes Amigo” also made the setlist on Wednesday but not on Tuesday.
