This summer Amy Helm along with the team at Levon Helm Studios hosted the inaugural Dirt Farmer Festival at Arrowood Farms in Accord, New York. Along with helping to curate the fest, Helm performed with her band and has shared her cover of “Michigan” from that set.
The singer-songwriter recorded her take on the track from The Milk Carton Kids’ 2011 release Prologue for her latest studio effort This Too Shall Light. Helm’s sophomore solo album features a mix of originals and covers from the likes of Rod Stewart, T Bone Burnett and Allen Toussaint. Watch Helm’s performance of “Michigan” below:
