Eric Krasno has announced a last-minute show at the Blue Note in New York City, NY with his E3 Organ Trio on Saturday, December 1st at 12:30 a.m. The jazz trio consists of drummer Eric Kalb and organ player Eric Finland, with Krasno on guitar and vocals. Special guest John Scofield, one of Krasno’s “all time heroes,” will also join the late-night show.
Eric Krasno’s E3 Organ Trio debuted earlier this year with two shows in New York, May 31st at Rockwood Music Hall and June 2nd at Garcia’s at The Cap. Both shows were met with overwhelmingly positive reviews from Krasno’s diverse following, who have long enjoyed his body of work with a variety of different musicians including virtually every member of the Grateful Dead as well as funk bands Lettuce and Soulive, blues rockers Tedeschi Trucks Band, hip-hop heavyweights 50 Cent and Talib Kweli, and so many more.
Eric Krasno’s E3 Organ Trio setlists have varied with covers of The Beatles, Allman Brothers Band, and the Grateful Dead as well as old-school funk and jazz standards, but there’s no telling what he has in store for this weekend’s show.
