Farmer And The Owl Festival Confirms 2019 Return With New Location

173

Wollongong’s boutique festival Farmer And The Owl has announced its triumphant and unheeded continuation into 2019, and it will now be going down at a brand new home. Rest assured, still in the ‘gong and a mere hop, skip and a jump over at MacCabe Park.

Since 2013, Farmer And The Owl has been going down within the grounds of the University of Wollongong, but in the years since, has outgrown its spiritual home. Its new location is primed for an outdoor festival, with more greenery, parklands, laneways and natural alcoves, all of which will be filled with music and curiosities come March 2019.

News of the new locale comes with plenty more updates on next year’s event. Not only can we confirm it will be happening at MacCabe Park, we can also confirm it will be happening on Saturday, 2nd March. We can expect the first batch of artists to arrive later this month.

An extension of the record label of the same name, Farmer And The Owl is curated by Australian artists for Australian music lovers. Adored road warriors including Hockey Dad, Totally Unicorn, The Pinheads, TEES and Tropical Strength all give their two bobs worth for the event in the past.
