Fenway Park organist Josh Kantor recently completed his 16th season in the position. Kantor not only plays organ at the home of the 2018 World Champion Boston Red Sox, but he performs with The Split Squads and holds down a part-time position as a music librarian at Harvard University. The Athens, Georgia native is active on Twitter and frequently takes requests from fans. Yesterday, Josh shared a list of the whopping 749 song requests he honored in 2018.

The list includes songs by many bands familiar to our audience including Phish, the Grateful Dead, Umphrey’s McGee, Wilco, Old Crow Medicine Show as well as plenty of rock bands from nearly every era. Phish is represented on the list by “Tweezer Reprise,” while Kantor also covered Umphrey’s McGee’s “Booth Love.” Josh also performed “Cassidy,” “Fire On The Mountain,” “Friend Of The Devil,” “Ripple” and “Truckin’” by the Grateful Dead. In 2009, Kantor contributed to a video announcing Phish’s debut at Fenway Park. Josh fit in portions of “Tweezer Reprise” in the clip. Take a look at the video below:
