Earlier this year Neko Case released Hell-On, her first album of new material in five years. Today, the singer-songwriter has shared the video for the album track “Last Lion Of Albion” that features gorgeous handmade figures and props from artist Laura Plansker.
“I’m very honored and excited to debut this video for ‘Last Lion of Albion’ by one of my very favorite artists, Laura Plansker,“ Case explained. “Her work perfectly balances humor and darkness in a way that breaks my heart. She has a way of making something so artificial so very alive. The turning of the lion’s head to look at the sky, or its own reflection makes me cry my eyes out.” Watch the video for “Last Lion Of Albion” below:
Additionally, Case has added a new batch of tour dates in the United States and Australia in support of her record for early next year. The booming-voiced songstress will play her first show of 2019 at the Columbus Theatre in Providence on January 23. The tour will then make stops in Boston, Philadelphia, Washington D.C., Chapel Hill and Charleston. The run then heads to Florida for five shows as she’ll make appearances in Ponte Verde, Tampa, Orlando, Tallahassee and Pensacola. Case next spends three nights in Texas with gigs in Houston, Dallas and Austin. The U.S. leg of her World Tour comes to a close with a Southwest swing in Santa Fe, Tuscon and Phoenix.
