PREMIERE: Adelaide Indie Crew The Montreals Unveil Douchebag-Inspired New Toe-Tapper, ‘RUDE’

Hot on the heels of their debut EP Indigo Club, Adelaide indie collective The Montreals have shared the latest gem in their sonic collection, a jangly little bop dubbed ‘RUDE’.

Premiering via Music Feeds below ahead of its official arrival this Friday, the toe-tapping new single was basically inspired by the jerks of the world.

“If you are rude to wait staff, that is tra$h,” the band explain. “If you use AMEX to pay for coffee, that is tra$h. There’s an epidemic of rude people – so ‘RUDE’ is a montage of events dedicated to that.”

Recorded in Adelaide with Tom Garnett (Young Thug) on production duties, ‘RUDE’ was created during what was an apparently “hectic time of year” for the band.

“We could barely get 4 of us in a bloody room together!” they explain. “It was real cute to finally round up the rabel in our little recording oasis away from the real world.. we’ve learnt to make sure to take time for ya m8s :)”

Treat yourself to a sneak peek of ‘RUDE’ below.
