Bruce Springsteen Planning New Album & E Street Band Tour In 2019

Famed rocker Bruce Springsteen has spent 2018 focusing on his one-man show Springsteen On Broadway. The run of performances at Walter Kerr Theatre in New York City is coming to a close on December 15. Springsteen will get back to his “day job” of releasing music and touring with the E Street Band in 2019 as per a new interview with The Times.

The Boss described his first album in five years to The Times as, “For lack of a better word, it’s a singer-songwriter album – more of a solo record.” As for now there’s no release date or title that have been shared. Springsteen’s last album was 2014’s High Hopes, which featured the E Street Band and guitarist Tom Morello.

Bruce Springsteen last performed publicly with the E Street Band on February 25, 2017 at Mt. Smart Stadium in Auckland, New Zealand to end the Australian/New Zealand leg of The River Tour. The Times claims Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band will be back on the road in 2019 “including venues in the UK.” However, guitarist Stevie Van Zandt responded on Twitter to the article by noting, “There are no plans for E Street Touring in 2019 right now.” He mentioned that could change at any moment.
