David Byrne Releases ‘The Best Live Show Of All Time – NME’ EP

159

David Byrne recently completed a world tour in support of his 2018 album American Utopia that saw the 12 members of his band perform untethered. Byrne just released an EP featuring six live tracks recorded at Brooklyn’s Kings Theatre in September entitled The Best Live Show Of All Time – NME via Nonesuch/Todomundo.

The new EP takes its name from a quote in an NME review. The Best Live Show Of All Time includes renditions of Talking Heads’ classics “I Zimbra” and “This Must Be The Place (Naive Melody)” as well as American Utopia’s “Every Day Is A Miracle,” “Everybody’s Coming To My House” and “Dog’s Mind.” In addition, the EP concludes with Byrne’s version of The Brighton Port Authority’s “Toe Jam.” Physical copies of the EP and downloads are available via Nonesuch.
