Jethro Tull Expands 50th Anniversary Tour

182

Jethro Tull celebrated their 50th anniversary with an extensive tour earlier this year and have now expanded the trek into 2019. “In the USA – many would argue – 2019 is really the 50th Anniversary for US fans since we first visited in early 1969,” original member Ian Anderson said as per Brooklyn Vegan.

Anderson is the only longtime member of Jethro Tull in the current band. The group’s first U.S. dates of 2019 will take place in March. Up first is a performance in Atlantic City on March 9, which is followed by shows in National Harbor, Maryland on March 11 and Morristown, New Jersey on March 12. Jethro Tull returns to America for a swing through California this summer featuring stops in Indio on July 5, Irvine on July 6, San Diego on July 7 and Saratoga on July 9. Anderson’s outfit also confirmed shows in Medford, Massachusetts on September 11, New York City on September 14 and Uncasville, Connecticut on September 15.

Tickets for most shows go on sale this Friday, December 14 at 10 a.m. local time.
