Maggie Rogers & Sarah Jarosz Join Mumford & Sons In New York City

176

On Monday, Mumford & Sons brought the recently launched North American tour in support of Delta to New York City’s Madison Square Garden to begin a two-night stand. The folk-rock act delivered a career-spanning show that saw them welcome the evening’s opener Maggie Rogers and multi-instrumentalist Sarah Jarosz during their encore.

The English band delivered a 14-song main set that found them almost evenly offering up selections from all four of their studio albums. Marcus Mumford & Co. worked in takes on fan-favorites like “Little Lion Man,” “Babel,” “Lover of the Light,” “The Cave” and “Roll Away The Stone.” The band also highlighted six tunes from latest LP throughout the performance.

Midway through Mumford & Sons extended five-song encore the band was joined by Rogers and Jarosz for a take on “Awake My Soul.” Last night’s version of the Sigh No More track featured Jarosz on mandolin and Rogers teaming with Mumford on vocals. Watch fan-shot video on the collaboration below:
