The Disco Biscuits were in Colorado this past weekend for a three-night run at the recently opened 10 Mile Music Hall in Frisco. The jamtronica act dug into their catalog delivering a number of rarities, including the return of “Radiator” for the first time in over four years during their Saturday night show.

The Philadelphia-based band reached for a deep cut right out of the gate during their Friday opener, serving up “High Speed Racer” for just the second time since 2009. More rarities followed as they dusted off “Loose Change” and “Grass Is Green” both for the first time since October 26, 2017. The former was played for just the 12th time ever, while the latter was played as an inverted version. The remainder of the evening found the band delivering an impressive run that saw them stitch together “Mulberry’s Dream,” an inverted “Humuhumunukunukuapua’a” and former drummer Sam Altman’s “Sound One.”

Saturday’s show got underway with a seamless stretch that saw them tackle the Frank Zappa instrumental “Pygmy Twylyte” along with a pair of classic songs from their 1990s output in “Spaga” and “Shem-Rah Boo.” The four-piece then offered up both “The Bridge” and “Rivers” for the sixth time since 2010. The second set of the night saw the band look to the Marc Brownstein and Aron Magner side-project Electron for “Miracles.” The fourth-ever Disco Biscuits version of the song found them drop “Radiator” in its midst. It marked the first time the tune had been played since February 22, 2014 – a span of 147 shows.

Sunday night’s finale saw the quartet open with “The Overture” from their 1998 rock opera Hot Air Balloon. Over the course of the two sets, the band would focus its energies on classic material that was debuted in the 1990s and early-2000s. The final stanza of the run was bookended by “Nughuffer.” In between, The Disco Biscuits worked their way through an inverted version of “Aquatic Ape,” while “Spraypaint” came in the middle of unfinished takes on “Caterpillars” and “Helicopters.” Watch full show pro-shot video of all three nights below:
