The Drop Festival Announces 2019 Dates, Expands To Two New Locations

234

One of Australia’s newest touring festivals, The Drop, made its froth-worthy debut this year, and due to its success it is making its second run around the country in 2019.

The festival is also expanding next year, hitting two more cities than it did in 2018.

It’ll be taking on Newcastle in mid-March next year — the day before the just-announced festival UP DOWN festival — before taking on a new spot in the Sydney suburb of Manly and returning to Coolangatta, Torquay and Margaret River.

Along the way, the festival will take place alongside three Australian World Surf League tour events at Snapper Rocks on the Gold Coast, Bells Beach in Torquay and Margaret River in Western Australia, as well as Surfest Newcastle and the Vissla Sydney Surf Pro in Manly.

While we have no word on the lineup just yet, it’s sure to be a doozy considering how strong the festival’s debut lineup was. It consisted of San Cisco, Dune Rats, SAFIA, Ruby Fields and Holy Holy.

Check out the full dates and cities for The Drop 2019 below, and stay tuned for the lineup in the new year.
