Rock quartet Aqueous is scheduled to head out on their 2019 co-headlining winter tour with BIG Something early next month on February 7th. On Wednesday, the band announced two additional shows to the schedule, with new upcoming performances at Anthology in Rochester, New York on March 15th, and Kings Rook Club in Erie, Pennsylvania the following evening on March 16th. The performance at Anthology should be a unique experience for both the band and their fans in attendance, as it will be Aqueous’ first-ever show with one of three sets comprised of all-improvised music.

“We’ve always toyed with the idea of doing a fully improvised, completely ‘off the cuff’ set, and Rochester seemed like a perfect place to do it,” guitarist Mike Gantzer said about the upcoming show. “The band really comes alive when we are free to create on-the-fly, and we can’t wait to go on that journey with the audience for one of THREE sets that night.”

As for the March 16th show, fans should still be thrilled to hear the Aqueous crew are set to return to the lake-side city, which sits just a few hours down the road from the band’s home base of Buffalo, New York. Both Gantzer and guitarist/keyboardist Dave Loss were at Kings Rook Club back over the summer for a duet acoustic performance in mid-June.

“Erie was an early second home for AQ,” Gantzer continued. “Many of our fans’ favorite sets over the years have gone down in that city, to the point that there’s a saying they created for it; ‘Never miss an Erie show’ – we have to agree on that one!”

Tickets for the two added shows are on sale now, and can be purchased through the band’s website.
