On December 28, funk act Dumpstaphunk played The Fillmore in San Francisco. The band was joined by surprise guest Carlos Santana for a song and recently shared video of the sit-in.

Dumpstaphunk was opening for Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe on the 28th. As per Live For Live Music, Carlos was on hand at the invite of Sly & The Family Stone drummer and Dumpstaphunk collaborator Greg Errico. The legendary guitarist didn’t have his axe with him, so according to Jambands.com he borrowed Tony Hall‘s guitar for a cover of Buddy Miles Express’ “United Nations Stomp.” Later in the night, Errico joined Dumpstaphunk for a rendition of Sly & The Family Stone’s “Sing A Simple Song.” Watch video of Carlos Santana’s guest appearance with Dumpstaphunk shared by the band:
