Governors Ball Announces 2019 Lineup, Featuring The Strokes

Returning to Randall’s Island Park in New York, NY from Friday, May 31st through Sunday, June 2nd, the annual Governors Ball Music Festival has revealed their 2019 lineup. Headlining the event will be Tyler, The Creator, Florence + The Machine, and The Strokes (!!!), but the talent doesn’t stop there. Nas, SZA, The 1975, Major Lazer, Lil Wayne, Brockhampton, Kaytranasa, Louis The Child, Vince Staples, Bob Moses, and more are all featured on the festival’s lineup.

The full billing includes a diverse offering catered to a younger audience, including Gesaffelstein, Jorja Smith, Blood Orange, Lord Huron, Lilly Allen, Ty Dolla $ign, The Internet, and more.

This is also The Strokes’ first scheduled U.S. performance of 2019, only second to a music festival appearance Bilbao BBK Live Festival in Bilbao, Spain, which will reportedly “kick off their global comeback,” according to organizers.
