A Palestinian attacked Israeli soldiers in the occupied West Bank late Monday before being shot and “neutralised,” the army said, with Palestinian officials reporting the man had died. The Israeli army said the knife-wielding assailant had arrived in a car from Nablus and tried to stab a soldier manning a checkpoint south of the city. The Palestinian health ministry and security sources said the 36-year-old, Mohammed Adwe, was shot dead by Israeli soldiers at the site.
