Michael Franti & Spearhead shared the video for their single “The Flower” featuring Victoria Canal. The song was recorded for the upcoming Michael Franti & Spearhead album Stay Human Vol. II, which is due on January 25.
Franti premiered the video for “The Flower” at an End Gun Violence Together Rally at the TOMS headquarters in Los Angeles. The video features a cross-section of “Everytown Survivor Network members and other gun violence survivors from mass shootings including Marjory Stoneman Douglas, Pulse Nightclub in Orlando and the Route 91 Harvest Festival in Las Vegas, as well as daily acts of gun violence in cities across America.”
In addition to sharing “The Flower” video, Franti confirmed two appearances at screenings of the award-winning documentary film he directed, Stay Human. Up first is a screening at O.P. Rockwell in Park City, Utah on January 24, followed by one at the El Rey Theatre in Los Angeles on February 7. Franti will host a Q&A at each screening and will perform alongside Canal and bassist Carl Young.
