Mike Gordon Shares GoPro Cam Footage Of Phish’s New Year’s Eve Gag

Phish’s Mike Gordon posted a video of footage captured by a GoPro camera attached to his bass during the band’s New Year’s Eve gag at Madison Square Garden in New York City. The minute-long clip includes the audio — essentially isolating his bass — that was recorded by the mini-camera.

Phish previously incorporated some of the GoPro-shot footage when they officially released video of their December 31 performance of “Mercury” that led to the countdown to midnight and was followed by “Say It To Me S.A.N.T.O.S.” It was during “S.A.N.T.O.S.” that Gordon and guitarist Trey Anastasio were hoisted above the stage, appearing to float over the audience while singing “This is what space smells like / You will always remember where you were.”
