Rooster Walk Music & Arts Festival has revealed their second wave of artists for the 2019 lineup. Going down in Martinsville, VA from May 23rd through 26th, 2019, the festival’s newly added performers include Turkuaz, BIG Something, The Lil Smokies, The Black Lillies, The Roosevelt Collier Band, Fireside Collective, South Hill Banks, The Vagabonds, Palm Palm, and After Jack.

These acts join a lineup that already included Shovels & Rope, Billy Strings, Marcus King Band, Mountain Heart, Yarn, Kendall Street Company, State Birds C2 & The Brothers Reed, and the second-ever collaboration between Marcus King and Billy Strings, two of the country’s hottest young guitar players.

King & Strings is a collaboration between southern rocker Marcus King and progressive bluegrass ace Billy Strings that has only happened once before, at last year’s Rooster Walk 10. The original lineup featured Billy Strings and his band, consisting of bassist Royal Masat, banjo player Billy Failing, and mandolinist Jarrod Walker, along with Marcus King and legendary drummer Jeff Sipe (Aquarium Rescue Unit). The exact lineup for the 2019 iteration of King & Strings is yet to be announced, but with both Billy Strings’ and Marcus King’s bands in the house, it’s sure to be one hell of a good time.
