The inaugural The Big Melt multi-band event will take place at the Fillmore Auditorium in Denver on Saturday, April 13. Four intriguing band lineups will perform with lights provided by Mad Alchemy Liquid Light Show.

Eric Krasno & Friends will find the Soulive guitarist joined by Nigel Hall, Robert “Sput” Searight, MonoNeon and special guests. The Big Melt will also host a reprise of Purple Party: A Tribute To Prince featuring members of Prince, Snarky Puppy, The Motet, Ghost-Note, Magic Beans and more. Magic Beans keyboardist Casey Russell will serve as musical director with one-time Prince bassist MonoNeon aboard as well as Searight, Nate Werth, Will Trask (Great American Taxi). The Prince tribute will also feature Joey Porter, Ryan Jalbert, Lyle Divinsky, Drew Sayers and Parris Fleming of The Motet along with vocalists Adryon de Leon (Orgone) and Megan Letts (Mama Magnolia).

Big Gigantic’s Dominic Lalli will present another set from his recently debuted Dominic Lalli’s Bluebird Quintet project, while Jedi: Jazz Electronic Dance Improvised will combine the talents of Aaron Johnston, Michael Kang, Jason Hann, Ashish Vyas and Borahm Lee. Lalli recruited Lee, Gabe Mervine, Hunter Roberts and Dru Heller for his Bluebird Quintet set at The Big Melt.

Tickets for The Big Melt go on sale this Friday, February 1 at 10 a.m. MT via Live Nation. A pre-sale starts on Thursday, January 31 at 10 a.m. MT using “CELEBRATE” as the password.
