The Foo Fighters have a sold-out run coming up at the brand new Fillmore in New Orleans, Louisiana next month on February 15th and 16th. To celebrate the opening of the new venue, which is located on the upper floor of Harrah’s Casino, members of the band will lead a parade through the streets of NOLA on February 14th ahead of their two-night run. Dubbed, “The Krewe du Foo Broken Hearts Social Club Parade”, the procession will encapsulate the spirit of Mardi Gras to its greatest extent, while also observing Valentine’s Day, in honor of the venue’s opening on the following day.

Troy “Trombone Shorty” Andrews, members of the Preservation Hall Jazz Band, and DJ Raj Smoove will also be part of The Krewe du Foo Broken Hearts Social Club Parade, in addition to the Camel Toe Lady Steppers dance troupe, the Rolling Elvi scooter-riding Elvis impersonators, the Alice Harte Marching Band, the Martin Luther King Jr. Marching Band, and more.

According to NOLA.com, there will also be floats at the parade. In true Mardi Gras fashion, members of Krewe du Foo promise to toss special throws to commemorate their inaugural parade as well as the venue’s opening. The parade route starts on Howard Ave at 7 p.m., and will proceeds past Lee Circle, down St. Charles Avenue, then hits Canal Street to end at The Fillmore entrance at Harrah’s Casino.

Masquerade Nightclub will host the official post-parade party, “Broken Hearts Socia,l” on Valentine’s Day evening. This is a free 21+ concert featuring Left of Centre, a rock band that has performed with Heart, Lynyrd Skynyrd and Sammy Hagar to Toby Keith, Jake Owen, and Kenny Chesney.
